Sign Applications

How many times you get “certificate error” while trying to install some cool application on your symbian mobile phone!? It means you want to install unsigned application, and if you want successful installation you have to sign it.

First you have to get certificate and key. Post your IMEI (dial *#06#) and model of your mobile phone here, and you’ll get certificate and key.

It takes time to get certificate and key, so be patient.

(For Your Certificate and key, see below in the comments! After a while, we will delete posted IMEI)

After you get certificate and key file, use one of these programs for signing applications.

SignSIS-GUI - sign application on your PC with cer and key. Browse certificate and key and application you want to sign!

FreeSigner - install it on your phone. Copy certificate and key file on mobile phone. Start FreeSigner, go to Options – Settings – into Sign Cert transfer certificate and into Sign Key key file. Then Add Task, file you want to sign and Go!

SiSSigner – run SiSSigner on your PC, select SIS file you want to sign, select certificate and key to sign app…for key file password just leave blank.

IMPORTANT! Due to changes of the Symbian Signed, all the DevCerts issued after 23.06.2011. can be used to sign applications which

UID is in the unprotected-range. It means, certificate issued after that date can’t sign every application any more.

thanks for it but i copy it in my phone…and still i am not able to run software…..it still showing certificate error or expired certificate…….plsssss help me….tell me how to solve that…..how i can run software

you can sign applications with SignSIS (on PC) or FreeSigner on your mobile (download links are in post above). If you use FreeSigner for signing applications on your mobile, first sign it on PC. How to sign with SignSIS or FreeSigner you can see on our forum. Try

Guys from the tech, big ups! Yourll have been so helpful, here in SA, its kind of hard to download all the cool app’s without having to pay for it and getting it to work. i’ve wasted enough money on downloading the same apps over and over and search the net just to find out none work cause my phone aint hacked, now with this key and cert, all my app’s i had downloaded before are all installing so easily:) now i have to check out the mobile one so when i aint at home and i find an app, i can sort it out immediately. Thanx guys
