Free reader for your symbian S60v5 mobile phone.

Read e-books in DjVu and PDF format. Browse through pages by pressing on volume control button (+/-) or double tap above or under the page. It supports portrait and landscape mode, and works in fullscreen mode.

I’ve been clicking till I was blue in the face… no menu shows up.

can’t zoom in full screen mode either.

The only things I find working are:

Single tap = page down
drag finger up or down = scroll

if someone could be more specific than “keep clicking, menu will show up eventually” it would be greatly appreciated, cause at the moment, I have to use task manager to close the darn thing to get the menu back on restart.

Full screen mode is great though, just gotta be able to get out of it.

	To exit out of fullscreen, keeping pressing the screen for like 7 seconds till menu pops up and chose normal mode. [Reply]

	Trick to getting out of full screen mode is not double clicking… its pressing down on the screen for 4 seconds. [Reply]

	Very Nice Software and Thanks to kharitonov..can we zoom the pdf using some keys??? hmm my nokia 5230 has only very keys…so may not be possible…but needs somethg to zoom in and out..may be volume buttons better for zoom in and for page down we can use tapping.. [Reply]

	why doesn’t work with sony ericsson vivaz? This model works with synbian. I d installed before in my nokia 5800 and worked well. I think not work with all the synbian phones. I try to tap for many many minutes… and can’t exit from fullscreen mode!
And i can’t move screen on orizzontal, only up and down.

	cool app.great features.working fine on my C6. Far better that Adobe pdf LE … Now for those who r as foolish as don’t know how to hack their phones. Guys research on this topic on net and collect your phone certificates and keys from OPDA sites to install these s/w s as soon as possible. [Reply]

Alternate Reader was signed until 27.06.2011. That means you have to sign it (if you have cert and key provided before 23.06.2011., because I think you won’t be able to sign with new cert…because of restrictions Symbian Signed made since 23.06.2011.).
You can try this signed version, and tell me if it works.

thank you, signed version works on N97, whereas the previous one from sourceforge – http://sourceforge.net/projects/alternatedjvu/files/sisx/

was showing the expired certificate error.

The only problem now is that when I change pages or try to zoom in it takes a long time.

	This is great, but I’m using a Sony Ericsson Satio U1, and it will only display the pictures, no text… the full screen and normal mode/menus, etc. all work perfectly, I just can’t see what I actually want to read… any help would be terrific! [Reply]
