“Certificate error” How to sign unsigned application

How many times you get “certificate error” while trying to install some cool application on your symbian mobile phone!? It means you want to install unsigned application, and if you want successful installation you have to sign it.
- First you have to get certificate and key. You can do it by yourself at OPDA, or you can put your request here . Post your IMEI (dial *#06#) and model of your mobile phone here, and you’ll get certificate and key.
- After you get certificate and key file, use one of these programs for signing applications.
SignSIS-GUI - sign application on your PC with cer and key. Browse certificate and key and application you want to sign!
FreeSigner - install it on your phone. Copy certificate and key file on mobile phone. Start FreeSigner, go to Options – Settings – into Sign Cert transfer certificate and into Sign Key key file. Then Add Task, file you want to sign and Go!
SiSSigner – run SiSSigner on your PC, select SIS file you want to sign, select certificate and key to sign app…for key file password just leave blank.

You have to sign those application, and for that you need certificate and key file…which you already requested

download on PC then extract with WinRar or WinZip. You will get 2 files, certificate and key.

here is cert for your phone…but you will not be able to sign many applications, due to Symbian Signed changes and restrictions (from 23.06.2011). Use SiSSigner for signing

Symbian Signed made changes and restrictions and now is a little bit difficult to get certificate. You can try on nokioteca forum or I will do it for you. But you should know that from 23.06.2011. you and everybody else, with this new cert will not be able to sign every unsigned application, just few of it (because of restrictions). But if your phone is supported by HelloOX v2.03 then you can sign HelloOX and hack your phone

here is new DevCert…but as you can read, Symbian Signed made some changes and restrictions, and now you can’t sign every unsigned application like before. I suggest check on HelloOX website if your phone is compatible, then download HelloOX v2.03 (newer version can’t be signed with this new cert), sign it with SiSSigner and hack your phone.

HeloOX 2.03 doesn’t support nokia C6, so you can’t hack your phone with HelloOX. You can try this way
